This is the first time I've heard the copyright angle brought up, it would be interesting to hear an opinion from a legal expert on that. ...However (IMO) there is certainly an issue of illegal seizure of personal property in cases where images are deleted or film is confiscated without a court order. In my situation at Nellis AFB I do not believe that the security officer had any legal right at all to ask me to delete my images. Throw a uniform, badge and gun into the mix and then there may be issues of coercion under the color of authority. (all my comments are opinion, I am not a lawyer) Great article Lee.
